Facilitating Students to Prepare Studying Abroad, Amcor UIN Walisongo Held Seminar Series Study in The USA

American Corner (Amcor) Walisongo State Islamic University (UIN) held an offline Series Studies in The USA event with the theme “Degree and Non Degree Option” at Amcor Building Campus 3, Wednesday (10/05/2023).

This event presented EducationUSA Adviser, Muhammad Iqbal as a speaker.

Iqbal explained several reasons students should study in The US.

"Because of quality, important networking, choices, resources, diversity, equity, and inclusion," he explained.

There are, he continued, several application requirements to continue studying in the US.

"The requirements are an application fee, English proficiency test, GRE, essay, recommendation letter, and others," he explained.

Iqbal explained five tips for preparing for study in the US.

"Narrowing your choice, choosing between degree or non-degree option, preparing tuition and fees, and finding your best fit university," he said.

At the end, Iqbal also advised the participants to keep trying.

"Don't stop, keep learning running. Don't lose yourself first by not trying it. Keep on trying because we will never know in the future," he concluded.

UIN Walisongo Amcor Director, Umar Falahul Alam hopes that this event can inspire students.

"Hopefully it can inspire students and leave an impression as a desire to become an enlightened generation," said Umar.
