Extending Cooperation with US Embassy, UIN Walisongo Signs MoU with Allison F. McKee

Regional Public Engagement Specialist, Allison F. McKee came to American Corner (Amcor) of Walisongo State Islamic University (UIN) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for an extension of cooperation between the US Embassy and UIN Walisongo, ​​Monday (06/03/2023).

At the beginning of the event, Allison socialized the Standard MoU.

She explained three purposes of American Spaces Standard.

"There are three purposes of this standard. First, focusing on functional elements, clarifying what we expect, and elements to help assess," explained Allison.

She also described several types of American Spaces around the world.

"American spaces divided into american centers, american corners, and binational centers," she continued.

Allison said, there are seven components of the American Spaces Standard.

"Seven components of the standards are strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, programming and resources, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, management, digital tools and skills, and physical space and access," said Allison.

After the socialization event, Allison signed the MoU with Rector of UIN Walisongo, Imam Taufiq.
